CONTEXT

A travers son partenariat avec Agrisud, Club Med modifie progressivement depuis 2009 sa chaîne d’approvisionnement pour créer et partager localement plus de valeurs.

Through its partnership with Agrisud, Club Med has been progressively modifying its supply chain since 2009 to create and share more values locally.

In China, family farms situated in the vicinity of the Club Med village are not very diversified. The crop systems implemented are major consumers of chemical inputs and most producers consider that it is not possible to produce otherwise.

Climate instability (variability of periods of heavy rains and dry periods from one year to the next) is a constraint for the choice and technical management of crops…

It is in this context that Agrisud has been implementing the project since 2019.

OBJECTIVES

Developing a local supply chain according to a win-win principle:

RESULTS

  • 15 family farms around Club Med village trained in agroecology
  • 1 group of family farms supported to supply the village
  • 1 local and agroecological supply chain established with the village (5 t of agroecological products sold on average each year)
