Summary of agro development component in Kandal Print E-mail

December 2009:

The Ta Ong and Ta Roat Preks rehabilitation project in Kandal province near Phnom Penh began in February 2007 by studies and rehabilitation of water infrastructure. The first agricultural support was provided in January 2008 .

This project is funded by the French Development Agency and the Asian Development Bank under the "Northwest Irrigation Sector Project”, and implemented by AgriCam and Kosan Engineering, with Agrisud International support.

 

388 farmers were trained and support on a total population of 620 farmers in the area.

After two years of agricultural support, analysis of farms technical and economic results has been done and key results are presented in the following study:
