From Monday, November 23 to Saturday, December 5, 2009, 11 Congolese NGOs and a representative of agricultural services attended a training session hosted by AGRISUD International in Kimpese in the province of Bas-Congo. This training, funded by the French Embassy and Agrisud International, enabled participants to strengthen their capacity to support VSE (Very Small Enterprise). Cofinanced with the European Union, Agrisud launched in June 2009 a project to develop sustainable agriculture in North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo. This action structuring development on two territories (Beni and Lubero) and aims to support 1700 family farmers and to reorganize the commercial channels. The SYDIP (farmers syndicate), 7,000 members strong, is also partner and beneficiary (association building capacity). The September 21 a new session of the Agrisud Capacity Building program was held for 12 days in Madagascar, in the region Itasy. Remember that this cycle is dedicated to local organizations (NGOs, associations, groups ...) in charge of development programs.
