Agrisud participates in a roundtable from the State Secretariat for Development and launch his Endowment Fund

Yvonnick Huet, CEO Agrisud International, spoke June 2, 2015 at the roundtable on the business contribution to equitable and sustainable development, organized by the Secretary of State for Development and Francophony.

The agenda for the post-2015 development, which the international community will approve ambitious Sustainable Development Goals to end poverty and build low-carbon sustainable development strategy implies a major mobilization of implementation means, involving all players.

This meeting, which provided an opportunity to the French Development Agency (AFD) to present its new initiative for social entrepreneurship led to an exchange with the actors of the inclusive economy around three questions: Why businesses are investing in equitable and sustainable development? What recent initiatives (including the creation of dedicated funds)? How to act with governments and civil society?

For Agrisud Yvonnick Huet described the relationship developed over 20 years with AFD and with businesses. Agrisud has demonstrated its ability to build effective public-private partnerships in favor of the creation of family farms TPE. Were also discussed specific actions conducted with several co-creation companies, sometimes to get into their value chain, and to structure the offer of small producers and to generate buying power for local people. A constant search for innovative financing, Agrisud is very attentive to the launch of the social business initiative of the AFD and the various programs described herein companies.

On this occasion, Yvonnick Huet has announced the launch of Agrisud Development Endowment Fund, inviting actors to join its goal of 300,000 additional people out of poverty in 5 years through the creation of 30,000 new sustainable TPE.
